What a beautiful image, so clearly showing several mysterious creatures over a bed of vegetable beat. A real pond orchestra, a soundscape with several elements. You’re most likely to hear something like this on a warm sunny day at the height of summer. A good test to separate plant from animal. I hope you see it.

All outside the pond was a deep silence, no traffic, no cars, no planes in the sky. No singing birds in the sky. “Plop” the rubberized hydrophone goes down, disappears in the muck. I plug it into a little Bluetooth speaker. What? A shocking sound, there is a huge thrumming noise down there. Overlapping rhythms, shaking, expanding, combatting, mystery beats together. What could this possibly be?
